Secret Businesses - Whatever You Do, Don't Let the Cat Out of the Bag!
In trying to find someone to video tape an upcoming speech, I turned to LinkedIn. Within a short radius of the East Longmeadow venue, I found a great number of possibilities. Only problem is most provide a first name, last initial, and no website. If you want to have a secret business, whatever you do, don't let the cat out of the bag!
When I visited websites of others, I was exasperated to find no names and no contact info. Where's Waldo? Why are you even on LinkedIn? You can't be completely hidden and expect to succeed in business!
Of course, I can fill out a form and maybe someone will get back to me. But I didn't. I moved on to the next option - someone willing to give me a name, city, and phone number.
Today's Lesson: Dare to reveal your identity or get out of business!
Anything less is a "Lip Service Innovation."
